Ryo intervenes, but Goro isn't afraid of Ryo, despite Nagashima backing off as he knows how strong he is from previous fights. Goro fighting Ryo when he first arrives at the harbor.Īs Ryo arrives at the harbor for the first time, he sees Goro picking on a fisherman, Hiroshi Murai and demanding his money with Nagashima. In the finale of Mappy: The Beat, while he and Mappy are in prison, he claims the events of the series were "always about the journey" and getting "closer" with his rival. While this was initially perceived as friendly on Mappy's end, Goro slowly began taking things much further, even gambling and stealing money from Mappy's son (who was saving it for a wedding proposal). Mappy was the officer put in charge of stopping him.Īfter Mappy's police job was over, Goro effectively became a psychopath, continuously messing with him whenever possible, often times going great lengths to do so. In his original portrayal, Goro was the leader of the Meowky gang he and his henchmen stole various valuable items, and hid them away in his mansion. In an attempt to make things right, Mappy and Dig Dug steal Goro's own belongings and give them to the now jobless workers this included even more stolen artwork, leading to Mappy and Dig Dug being sent to prison as well (in Goro's cell, no less). This leads to the closure of Nyamco Offices, which puts hundreds out of jobs during the harsh Winter season. In the series finale, he is arrested after Mappy uncovers his scheme of stealing paintings from the museum. Goro appears in the ShiftyLook series Mappy: The Beat as the boss of NYAMCO Offices, named after his Japanese name, who is rather snarky and sarcastic towards Mappy, who destroyed one of the paintings he stole in the past while trying to find him.

He often hides behind the stolen items if Mappy collects the item Goro is behind, then the player will get a bonus of 1000 points. Unlike the Meowkies, Goro is somewhat cowardly (despite being the leader), and does not directly try to attack Mappy.
